Cake It Until You Make It was built on a simple belief: a cake should feel as special as the moment it marks. We are a small-batch bakery focused on elegant flavour, soft colour stories, and décor that photographs beautifully without sacrificing taste. From our base at 380 Cambridge Road, Mornington Hobart, Tasmania 7018, we create birthday cakes, wedding cakes, cupcakes, custom designs and dessert tables for clients who want something warmer and more personal than mass-produced sweets.
Our process begins with listening. Tell us about your guest count, colour palette, dietary notes, venue timing and inspiration photos. From there we recommend sizes and flavours that make sense — vanilla bean with berry filling for spring weddings, chocolate ganache for winter birthdays, lemon elderflower for bridal showers, or a custom combination that matches your theme. Every cake is mixed, baked, filled and finished by hand so the crumb stays tender and the frosting stays silky.

We source quality butter, fine chocolate, seasonal fruit and premium vanilla because ingredients are the foundation of flavour. Decorative elements — fresh flowers, gold leaf, drip finishes, script toppers — are chosen to complement the cake, never overwhelm it. The result is a boutique look that still feels edible, inviting and celebratory.

Birthdays remain the heart of our work: soft pink drip cakes, strawberry cream layers, and custom character or colour themes for all ages. Weddings call for calm luxury — ivory tiers, blush florals, and flavours couples can serve with confidence. We also create cakes for anniversaries, baby showers, graduations, engagements and intimate corporate events. When a full dessert table is needed, we style cupcakes, macarons and petite sweets to match the hero cake so the whole display feels cohesive.
